Shimmering bamboo silk is an often used material in our luxurious rugs. With an appearance not unlike real silk, it is actually extracted from bamboo stalks. Bamboo silk feels just like silk – soft to the touch and with a beautiful sheen.

Deemed a renewable resource, bamboo is an ever-popular material for high-end rugs because adds dimension to many of our designs, playing wonderfully with light and shifting constantly under your gaze. Combined with New Zealand and Tibetan Wool, bamboo silk is used to emphasise portions of the rugs design, creating incredible highlights and lowlights . It also has a delightfully velvety feel underfoot, cool and smooth on the skin.
